An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 11/6/2024
The on-site inspection began at 10:45 a.m. and ended at 1:05 p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 26 children present and 6 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations, and measurements.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program

Standard 8VAC20-780-280-B
Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. A aerosol can of disinfectant with warning label, ?Keep out of reach of children,? was unlocked in the two-year-old classroom, within reach of children.
Plan of Correction: Staff placed the aerosol can of disinfectant in a locked cabinet when the inspector brought it to her attention during the inspection. Staff will ensure that all hazardous substances are stored in a locked location where children may not access it.
