Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring renewal inspection was conducted on January 18, 2024 from 12:38pm - 2:26 pm the inspection was concluded on January 19, 2024. There were aproximaltey 36 children present children in the afternoon and 7 staff members. Additional staff were available to assist. Children were participate in table actiivities, dancing, sleeping and being fed. Outdoor area was inspected. Five staff records and five children records were reviewed. There was no medication and 3 injury records reviewd. Licensing Inspector reviewed indoor areas, supervision, activities, equipment, emergency evacuation and sheltering-in-place drill documentation, emergency procedures and required posting.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

REPEAT VIOLATION

Based on observation, the licensee did not ensure all areas and equipment inside and outside are maintained in a clean , safe and operable.

Evidence:
The spring rocker on the School Age playground paint was peeling/flaking off.
Plan of Correction: The spring rockers were removed from the playground.

Based on observation and staff interview, the licensee did not ensure there was resilent surfacing around all required equipment covering the 6 feet fall zone and 6 inch depth of surfacing.

Evidence: There were two spring rockers that did not have resilent surfacing around the equipment.

Based on record review, the licensee did not ensure a lockdown drill was completed annually.

Evidence: There was no documentation that confirmed there was a lockdiwn drill was completed in 2023.
Plan of Correction: Lockdown Drill performed 1-18-2024. In the future lockdown drills will be performed and verified by director/ assistant director.
