Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal study was conducted. Eleven children were present with two caregivers for 21 points which is within ratios for supervision. The Family Day Home focuses on children learning Russian culture and language. Children were observed engaged in a Russian language activity, hand washing, reading books and transition to am snack. Snack was fruit and vegetables. Reviewed physical space, records for three children, records for household members, training and emergency preparation. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on record review an updated TB screening has not been obtained within 2 years of the previous screening.
Evidence:
Household member's TB was dated 9/2020 and would have needed to repeat is 9/2022.
Plan of Correction: HHM will renew the TB screening form within the next two weeks.
Standard 8VAC20-800-90-C
Based on record review a child under the age of two did not have an updated immunization record.
Evidence:
Child #1's last immunization update was 1/2022.
Plan of Correction: Will request the parent provide a copy of an updated immunization record for the child's file.
