Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 2/25/25. The on-site inspection began at 9:30am and ended at 12:30pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. There were 30 children present and 6 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations and measurements. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 22.1-289.057-A
The program is required to submit to VDH and implement a plan to test potable water for lead. The program did not have evidence of a testing plan submitted to VDH.
Plan of Correction: The water testing plan was submitted to VDH the day of the inspection.
Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition. There were push pins on a bulletin board in the infant room. One of the push pins was loose and would be a choking hazard if it fell on the floor.
Plan of Correction: The push pins were removed from the classroom bulletin boards during the inspection.
