Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:50am-12:40pm. There were 190 children (infants-5yrs.) directly supervised by 52 staff. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, show and share, Spanish class, reading books, coloring, tracing, playing with small manipulatives, napping, being bottle fed, playing outside, and eating lunch. There was an adequate supply of materials for the children. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the Violation Notice.

Based on observation, not all electrical outlets had protective covers.

Evidence:
1. In the Preschool classroom 2 electrical outlets were observed above the counter without protective covers.
2 In the Intermediate Preschool classroom 1 electrical outlet was observed above the counter without a protective cover.
Plan of Correction: Corrected while on-site during inspection. We will continue to educate the team about the covers and the importance.
