A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was completed on 2/26/2024 from 10:25 am - 1:45 pm. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Based on a review of records and interview, the licensee did not always ensure that staff who work directly with children complete the department's required department's health and safety update.
Evidence:
Four staff records were reviewed.
The record for staff #1, contained documentation of completion of the Initial 10 hour Virginia Preservice training dated 1/20/2023. There was not documentation that staff #1 had completed the annual update training within 12 months of the initial training. The program director confirmed that this documentation was not present in staff #1's record.
