During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 5/14/2025. The on-site inspection began at 9:05 am and ended at 11:10 am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 64 children present and 12 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition. There was peeling paint on the wall in the three year old classroom by the cot area and on a stall door in the hall bathroom.

Hazardous substances must be in a locked place that prevents access by children. In the three year old classroom, a disinfecting spray bottle was on top of the cubbies and not locked up.

Shelter in place procedures shall be practiced a minimum of twice per year. There was only one shelter in place drill in 2024.

Staff records shall be kept for each staff person and shall contain all required information. The records for Staff #1 and Staff #5 were missing the name, address, and telephone number of a person to be notified in an emergency.
