Inspector Notes

An unannounced SHSI inspection was conducted on today's date. The vendor had two children in care. a total of 4 points. Observed the children napping, one child was awake and got up after the inspection started and had morning snack. One child will be 3 next week and another child is 2.5 years old. Although the vendor has cots both were sleeping in port-a-cribs. Discussed the need for the vendor to use cots, the children are to old to be napping in a port-a-crib. We also discussed programming and if the children needed two naps a day. A violation notice was given to the vendor at the time of the inspection.

The vendor failed to keep a record of the daily attendance of the children in care.
Evidence: Based on the review of the attendance records during the inspection, the vendor has not taken attendance since April 6th 2022.
Plan of Correction: I will make sure I take attendance. I will use the composition notebook like you showed me.
