Each staff member shall submit documentation of a negative tuberculosis screening at the time of employment and prior to coming into contact with the children. The screening for S2 was completed one day after hire. S11 reported that S2 did not come into contact with children prior to the screening.
Plan of Correction: Although the tuberculosis screening for staff member S2 was completed one day after hire and S2 only completed employment paperwork and online training without contact with children prior to the screening, the Center recognizes the requirement that documentation be obtained at the time of employment. We will reinforce our employment policy to require verification of negative TB screening at time of employment. All hiring personnel and Leadership have been retrained on TB screening requirements and timelines. We will implement and strengthen our pre-employment checklist requiring TB documentation at time of employment.
