Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on May 25 2022 with another inspector. Household records, child records, staff records, and the physical space was observed and inspected. The children were observed playing with bubbles in front of the home, then on the playground area in the back of the home. Children were also observed completing puzzles, being diapered, and preparing for lunch. Violations are listed on the violation notice. Based on observation, a caregiver did not wash their hands after diapering a child.

Evidence: A staff member in the home diapered 3 children, but did not wash hand between diapering. The staff member did use gloves that were changed, but the standards require hand washing.
Plan of Correction: -Staff member no longer employed due to failure to correct

Based on observation the diapering surface was not kept separate from surfaces used for children's activities.

Evidence; A staff member was observed changing children's diapers on a changing mat that was placed on the floor where other children were observed playing with toys.
