Inspector Notes

An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on April 2, 2024, beginning at 9:03am and ending at 10:10am. There were no children in attendance at the time of the inspection. Required background searches, training certificates and household member information was reviewed. A sample of requirements for daily attendance, child information/records, emergency preparedness planning and supplies were also reviewed. The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or laws and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the vendor.

Based on record review and interview, the vendor did not maintain and keep at the family day home, written or electronic information for each enrolled child.
Evidence:
1. There was not a file to review for Child #3.
2. The vendor confirmed the parent for child #3 had not completed the paperwork.
Plan of Correction: I will speak to the father today and will have the paperwork by Thursday.

Based on record review and interview, the immunization records were not received on or before the child's first day of attendance.
Evidence:
1. Child #3 (Start date 08/2023) did not have an immunization record on file.
2. The vendor confirmed the immunization record had not been received.
Plan of Correction: I will tell the father to bring the immunization record by Thursday.
