Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:11am-10:46am with the provider on site. There were 10 children with 4 caregivers. A sample of 2 children's files and 3 caregivers/household member's files were reviewed. The children were engaged in the following: toy play, making a bus at the table and speaking in Spanish during circle time. Interactions between the children and caregivers were positive. The site was clean, organized and contained an abundant supply of developmentally appropriate materials. The physical space, attendance records, drill record and the Emergency Preparedness Plan were reviewed. There were no medications on site. Based on interview, two caregivers did not obtain a minimum of sixteen clock hours of training annually in areas relevant to their job responsibilities In addition to satisfactory completion of first aid training and CPR training,
Evidence:
1. Caregiver #1 (start date June 2021) stated they completed 6 hours of training for the time period 6/2021through 2022, but did not have certificates to present during the inspection and Caregiver #2 (start date 10/25/2021) did not have 16 hours of training for the time period 10/2021 through 10/2022..
Plan of Correction: I will have it for all assistants by February 28th, 2023.
