Standard 8VAC20-780-560-J
Based upon observation, the facility has not ensured that tables are sanitized after eating.
Evidence:
Staff 1 and the inspector observed children in the Green Frogs classroom getting books from the library and sitting back down at their seats at lunch time. Some children at the tables were still eating. The tables had spills from lunch on them and were not sanitized before the books were being placed on the tables.
Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following:
Staff were immediately reminded that the children could not have books or other equipment on the tables until after the tables have been sanitized after being used for eating snacks or lunch.
Staff will be reminded of sanitation practices during our next staff meeting. Spot checks will be conducted to ensure compliance..
