Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 1:10 pm- 3:40pm. There were 39 children (infants-5yrs.) directly supervised by 10 staff. The physical plant, 4 staff records, 4 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, reading books, naptime, and
preparing to eat trailmix snack (made by the children. Diapering and hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an ample supply of materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based upon observation, hazardous substances were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method.

Evidence:
Child sunscreen was stored within reach of children in care on top of the cubbies in the PREP classroom.
Plan of Correction: Corrected during inspection. Staff in classroom removed sunscreen bin from cubbies.
