Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 11/7/2024, as a part of the licensure period, The on-site inspection began at 9:20 am and ended at 11:20 am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 20 children present and 8 staff. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 3 staff records on site.
This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Cleaning materials shall be kept in a locked place to prevent access by children.
A can of cleaning spray was located above the child hand washing sink by the classroom door and was not locked as required.
Plan of Correction: Corrected during inspection. We will remind teachers to lock.
Standard 8VAC20-780-560-G
When food is brought from home the container shall be labeled with name and date.
Three bottles from home were not labeled with the child's name and the date.
Plan of Correction: Corrected during inspection. The child had just arrived and parents will be reminded to label.
