Inspector Notes

An unannounced code compliance inspection was conducted on 4/20/22 from 11:10 am to 12:40 pm. There were 82 children in direct care and supervision of 17 staff members. The children were observed in a variety of structured activities including but not limited to playing outdoors, learning about the Earth and recycling, playing in small groups in various centers such as home living and blocks. 3 staff and 3 children's records were reviewed to determine compliance. The information gathered during the inspection determined non compliance with applicable code sections. Based on records review, the center did not obtain results of an out of state sex offender search by December 31, 2021 for employees hired prior to this date.
Evidence:
1. Staff # 1's first day of employment was 3/16/21.
2. Staff # 1's record indicated that she resided in New York within the last 5 years.
3. Results of a sex offender search for New York were not completed to this date, and were unavailable for review.
Plan of Correction: The results were obtained and the licensing inspector was updated with that information.
