During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on 12/30/2024, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 11:00am and ended at 3:30pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 68 children present and 23 staff. The inspector reviewed 6 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Centers are required to obtain and provide documentation of annual approval from the health department. Documentation of the center's most recent health inspection was not available for review during the inspection.
Plan of Correction: An inspection was completed in October 2024. The center requested documentation of the most recent inspection from the health department during the inspection.
Standard 8VAC20-780-550-G
Documentation must be maintained of emergency evacuation, shelter in place, and lockdown drills and include all required information.

Documentation of emergency drills did not contain documentation of the method of notification and number of staff members participating.
Plan of Correction: Moving forward, the center will use an updated form to document emergency drills.
