Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 05/09/2023 and concluded on 05/09/2023. There were 10 children present, ranging in ages from 2.5 years to 5 years, with 2 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 3 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Based on observation, the provider failed to ensure that hot water taps available to children were maintained within a range of 105?F to 120?F.

Evidence:
1. The hot water temperature was in the children's bathroom was obtained using a digital thermometer. The hot water temperature registered at 138 degrees.
Plan of Correction: I will get my husband to turn the hot water down and then we will discuss a splitter on the hot water tank to the sink that the children use to control the water at the right temperature.
