Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated on July 8, 2024 at approximately 9:00am and concluded at approximately 10:00am. There were a total of 6 children (22 points) observed with 3 caregivers present. The children were engaged in the following: toy play and other organized floor activities. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel and household members, physical environment, care of children, medication, emergencies and nutrition. A total of 3 child records and 3 caregiver/household member records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation, the provider did not ensure areas of the family day home was maintained in a safe and operable condition.

Evidence:
A plastic table in the outdoor play area was cracked along the edge and side, causing sharp pinch points.
Plan of Correction: A family member will come to take the broken table away.
Standard 8VAC20-800-920
Based on observation and documentation review, the provider did not ensure the menu for the current one-week period met the requirements.

Evidence:
The menu poste was dated for July 1-5, 2024.
Plan of Correction: The menu will be updated and posted.
