During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on 07/29/2025 and completed on 08/05/2025. The on-site inspection began at 10:50 AM and ended at 1:15 PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 101 children present and 27 staff. The inspector reviewed 8 children?s records, 8 staff on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility and interviews.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
The center shall ensure that areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, are maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.

The exterior door to the playground had a bent locking plate. The bent piece of medal was accessible to children as they entered the playground.
Plan of Correction: The administration will have the door fixed and will monitor.
Standard 8VAC20-780-340-F
Children under 10 years of age shall always be within actual sight and sound supervision of staff.

During the inspection, a six-year-old was unsupervised walking from the school age classroom down the hall to the preschool classroom.
Plan of Correction: During the inspection the staff was reminded and will be reminded once again during the next training.
Standard 8VAC20-780-80-A
For each group of children, the center shall maintain a written record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.

At approximately 11:00 a.m. on 07/29/2025, in at least 5 of the 13 classrooms, the written attendance was not completed with any child present.
Plan of Correction: In the future the staff will ensure that the attendance is completed as it occurs. Directors will monitor.
