Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 12:15 pm - 2:45 pm. There were 39 children in care being supervised by 5 staff. The children were observed resting and eating afternoon snack. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records and five staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation of the diaper changing pad in the toddler room it was determined that not all procedures for diapering were followed. Evidence: The Licensing Inspector observed debris on the diaper changing pad to indicate that the changing pad was not cleaned and sanitized after each use as required.
Plan of Correction: Toddler teacher received refresher training on proper diaper changing procedures. Toddler teacher will continue to be monitored and observed to ensure proper procedures are conducted at all times.
