Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was initiated on 3/8/23 and concluded on 3/8/23. There were 9 children present with 3 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 child records and 2 staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 11:15am and concluded at 12:35pm.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of children files the center failed to ensure that a child had a physical within 30 days of enrollment.

Evidence:
Child #2, enrollment date 8/19/22, did not have a physical in the file as required.
Plan of Correction: Another copy has been requested and will be placed in the file as soon as received. File's will continue to be reviewed and updated to ensure compliance.

Based on review of documentation and discussion with administration the center failed to ensure that monthly evacuation drills were practiced.

Evidence:
There was no evacuation drill conducted for the month of February 2023 as required.
Plan of Correction: Administration will put reminders on the calendar to ensure that monthly evacuation drills are practiced.
