Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on November 22, 2024 and completed on November 22, 2024, as a part of licensure period. IThe on-site inspection began at 9:42am and ended at 11:21am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 6 children present and 2 caregivers; the point total was 25. The inspector reviewed 6 children?s records and 3 caregiver/household member(s) records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five business days from today, which will be the close of business on December 4, 2024. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

A landline telephone, excluding a cordless or cell phone, shall be available, operable, and accessible during the family day home's hours of operation. An operable landline telephone is one that does not require electricity to operate. Cordless or cell phones may be used in addition to the landline telephone.
The provider only had a cordless phone and cell phone.

Standard 8VAC20-800-680-A
Caregivers shall wash their hands with liquid soap and warm running water after diapering a child or assisting a child with toileting. Staff#1 confirmed sanitizer is used instead of handwashing between diapering. Staff #2 was observed using hanitizer after diapering.
