Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 11/21/2023 for the Young Men?s Christian Association of Virginia?s Blue Ridge - West Salem Elementary. There were 25 children, ages 5-11 years and 3 staff present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel, environment and equipment, care of children, preventing the spread of disease, emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 children?s records and 3 staff records were reviewed. Medications were observed during the inspection. The children were observed during arrival, restroom break, snack and movie time. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 2:05pm and departed the center at 3:53pm.
