Inspector Notes
An unannounced Monitoring inspection was conducted this date. A total of 52 children with 11 staff were onsite. The children were transitioning to nap time. Staff were observed assisting with setting up mats and linens for the children. They were observed sitting beside the children and providing adequate supervision. All classrooms were observed today. One infant sleeping in a crib while the rest of the children in attendance in the infant class was sleeping on mats. Older children were engaged in quiet activities in the large multipurpose room along with other children napping. Four new staff records were reviewed along with 4 children's records. 2 children with medication needs. Medication and authorizations were also reviewed. Staff #3 lived out of state during the past five years. A Central Registry search result has not been obtained.

Staff #1 was hired on 10/22/2021. No documentation that Staff #1 completed the 10 hour VDOE sponsored orientation course.

Afternoon snack occurs after nap time. Children's snack food which consisted of yogurt, fresh fruit and fresh vegetables and string cheese was left open and unattended on tables for up to 2 hours while the children nap.
