Inspector Notes
An unannounced Monitoring inspection was conducted today. Owner/Director was onsite today. A total of 68 children with 9 staff providing supervision in the classrooms. A walk through of all 4 classrooms, hall bathrooms, and larger programming room was conducted. The majority of children were observed napping with staff sitting beside them providing supervision. In the Tulips classroom, children were busy and engaged in either individual activities such as graphing or interacting with the lead teacher at a table top activity. A smaller group of children were stitching an apple project which was later hung up on display in the main hallway. The center was maintained and organized with supplies, equipment and Montessori programming curriculum. A total of 5 children's records and 3 new staff records were reviewed. This inspection occurred between 1:20pm and 3:30pm. Thank you for your cooperation today. Please email me at: lisa.hudson@ doe.virginia.gov with any questions.
