Inspector Notes
An unannounced Monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were a total of 69 with 10 staff. There were 5 classrooms observed all within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed participating in circle time, The walls of the center were decorated with crafts completed by the children. Most of the projects centered around Earth Day. Children were observed answering questions about the 7 continents and were able to identify the oceans in between continents. Cursive writing samples were also on display. Positive interaction between staff and children were observed. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, fire drill log, and emergency procedures was conducted during this inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. 4Based on staff file review, a TB screening was not obtained as required.
Evidence:
Staff #1 was hired on 04/25/2024. The TB screening was obtained more than 30 days prior to hire. The TB screening on file was dated 02/25/2024.
Evidence:
Food brought from home in the Orchids Classroom was not properly labeled with each child's name and date.
Evidence:
One infant was observed laying on a mat drinking an infant bottle during nap time.
Evidence:
Child # 6 has a diagnosed food allergy. A written care plan was not obtained for this child.
