Inspector Notes

A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 08/142024 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and
safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on 08/21/2024. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website

Based on record review, staff did not complete the Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff within the first 90 days of employment.

Evidence:
Staff #3 was missing the certificate for "Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff."
Plan of Correction: 1st year of being a subsidy vendor. All staff will complete all trainings in the next 10 days.

Based on record review, staff were missing current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care.

Evidence:
Staff #3 and Staff #4 were missing current certification for CPR.
Plan of Correction: Same staff will complete FA/CPR on 8/24/24.
