Inspector Notes

A Subsidy Health and Safety monitoring inspection was conducted on 6/14/2023 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This inspection began at 1:35pm and ended at 3:50pm. There were 7 staff with 55 children in 7 classrooms at the time of the visit. At the start of the inspection, children were observed receiving bottles and napping. Children's files, emergency preparedness procedures, fire drill log were reviewed. The physical plant and playground were inspected. There were four medications reviewed during the inspection. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and can be viewed on the violation notice.

Based on record review, all staff who work directly with children have not obtained within 90 days of the date of employment current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care.
Evidence:
1. Staff #7 (date of hire: 8/2/2021) does not have current CPR certification.
2. Staff #9 (date of hire: 2/6/23) does not have current CPR certification.
Plan of Correction: I'll get a class scheduled for all the staff that need to renew or are waiting to get certified.
