During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on 5/6/25, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 12:10 PM and ended at 2:25 PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There was 1 child present and 1 caregiver; the point total was 2. The inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 caregiver/household member records on-site.
This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on 5/16/25. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

The license and any other documents required by the Superintendent shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the licensed premises.
The most recent inspection documentation (11/7/2024) was not posted. The documentation posted was dated 10/2022.

Standard 8VAC20-800-220-A
To safely perform medication administration practices listed in 8VAC20-800-710 whenever the family day home has agreed to administer prescription medications or nonprescription medications, the administration shall be performed by a caregiver who has satisfactorily completed a training program for this purpose developed by or approved by the Board of Nursing.
The provider's Decision to Administer Medication policy states they will administer medication; however, the provider has not completed a training program for this purpose, and cannot administer medications.

Standard 8VAC20-800-70-A
Before the child's first day of attendance, parents shall be provided in writing the following information; policy for administration of medication and whether or not there is liability insurance.
Child #2's record contained;
1.Documentation of an inaccurate medication policy, The policy state the provider would administer medication; however, the provider is not current in Medication Administration Training (MAT certification), and therefore may not administer medications.
2. No declaration liability insurance coverage is completed.
