Inspector Notes
A renewal inspection was conducted on March 13, 2023, from 11:50am to approximately 1:30pm. There were 23 children, and 6 staff members present. The Inspector reviewed five children?s records and four staff records. The Inspector observed the interaction of staff and children throughout the inspection. Children were observed during naptime, and bottle feeding. First aid kits and emergency preparedness documents were observed. There are no medications administered at this time. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program. The violation was discussed with the owner at the exit interview.
Violations
11. In the preschool room and in front of the children?s bathroom, the carpet was tearing and shredding from the floor which poses as a tripping hazard to the children in care.
2. A section of the baseboards in the infant room are peeling off the wall in reach of children in care. This poses as an injury and pinching hazard to the infants in care.
3. In the toddler room, there was a broken plastic push toy that was cracked which poses as a pinching hazard to children in care.
4. There is a white wired shelf in the play area of the future waddler?s room which is a tipping hazard; it is not stable against the wall and can easily fall on children in care.
5. There were several individual loose staples in the front walkway of the entrance and to the hallway to the toddler?s room. This poses as injury hazards to children in care.
