Inspector Notes
A complaint inspection was initiated on 8/18/2022 and concluded on 9/22/2022. There were eight children present with a provider and assistant supervising. Interviews were conducted with staff and children relating to the allegation of inappropriate discipline. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition.
The complaint is determined to be "not valid".
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations
7Evidence:
The laundry room had dog urine in the floor. The gate to this area was open.
Evidence:
The hot tub in the back yard was full of water and the cover was off. There were eight children in care.
Evidence:
Located on the counter in the kitchen was a sharp knife. The gate to the kitchen was open and a child could access this area.
Evidence:
The LI was present during the departure of children on 8/18/22. Staff #1 was not able to provide a written record of the children in attendance that day or any day for that week.
Evidence:
On 8/18/22 the LI observed a small trampoline on the deck. This deck is used by the children. Staff #1 stated that the children in care use this trampoline.
Evidence:
On 8/17/22 child #1 (18 months old) was sleeping in a crib, staff # 1 & 2 verified this. The provider did not state the child was in the crib for developmental reasons.
Evidence:
1. Located in a bedroom used for napping was a six cube storage organizer that stood approximately three feet tall.
2. On top of this cube storage was two clear containers that had approximately 12 prescription medications.
3. An 18 month old was in this crib and was able to maneuver out of the crib. This child was alone and unsupervised.
