Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 05/01/2024. There were 29 children, ages 3 years-5 years, and 4 staff members present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, staff qualifications and trainings, staffing and supervision, physical plant, programs, emergencies and nutrition. The children were observed during afternoon snack, in free choice activities, and in large motor play outside. A total of 5 children?s records and 4 medications were reviewed; staff records will be reviewed on a later date at the administration office. The inspector arrived to the center at 2:50 pm and departed at 4:15 pm.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.

Based on document review, the center failed to ensure that for each group of children, the center shall maintain a written record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.

Evidence: The children were observed broken into 3 groups of children. There was only one written record of daily attendance. There was not an attendance record for each group of children.
Plan of Correction: Will be sure to have an attendance record for each group of children.
