An announced staff record review inspection was conducted on 05/15/2024. A total of 4 staff records were reviewed. The inspector arrived at 9:00 am and departed at 10:55 am.

Based on record review and discussion with staff, the center failed to ensure that every employee of a licensed child day center shall undergo a background check in accordance with the Code of Virginia prior to issuance of a license and every five years thereafter.
Evidence: The most recent criminal record check for Staff 1 was dated 01/28/2019; there was not a follow-up criminal record check obtained by 01/28/2024.
