Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 08/02/2021 and concluded on 08/03/2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 21 children present and 3 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 1 staff records, along with any requested program records submitted by the facility to determine if required documentation was complete. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.

Based on a record review the center did not ensure all requirements were met when prescription medication is given to a child.
Evidence:
A child had a prescription medication that is administered daily. The written authorization signed by the parent and physician expired on 05/18/21. The last time the child was administered the medication at the center was 08/02/21
Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the director during the exit interview.
Evidence:
The child is on the medication indefinitely and has a written Doctor's note stating this. The center will have the parent to sign the authorization as well.
