Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 11/7/2024. The on-site inspection began at 12:55 pm and ended at 3:00 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 65 children present and 12 staff. The inspector reviewed five children?s records on site and three staff records electronically on 11/14/24.This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, and interviews.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.
The blinds in classrooms 3 & 4 are broken.
Plan of Correction: A request to have the blinds replaced was made to the maintenance crew.
Standard 8VAC20-780-500-A
Children's hands shall be washed with soap and running water after toileting.
Three children did not wash their hands after toileting in classroom #3.
Plan of Correction: The site director will review handwashing procedures with staff.
