Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 01/10/2023 and concluded on 01/10/2023. There
were 61 children present, ranging in ages from infant to 5 years, with 13 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 6 child record, 2 medication authorizations and 11 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard 8VAC20-780-500-A
Based on observation, the hot water temperature exceeded the required 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

Evidence:
1. Licensing Inspector used a digital thermometer to obtain the temperature at the infant handwashing sink.
2. The water temperature at the hand washing sink registered 121.2 degrees Fahrenheit.
Plan of Correction: Director contacted landlord to locate the correct water heater to turn back the hot water temperature.
