Inspector Notes

An inspection was conducted at the request of the program director, to view and measure the two playgrounds. Per staff, the facility has lengthened/widened the existing playgrounds.

The measurements were as follows: Toddler playground can accommodate a maximum of 58 children; Preschool (three to six year old) playground can accommodate a maximum of 80 children. Due to the inability to see the entire preschool playground play space at one time, there must always be at least two staff present when all areas of the playground are in use. The playground safety plan must be revised to address the appropriate stationing of staff to ensure monitoring of the entire play space.
