The Toddler Room was observed to have small objects used for fine-motor skill activities that were accessible to children and presented a choking hazard. These items included pearl-sized beads and bells measuring less than one inch in diameter.

Plan of Correction: Teachers have been instructed to immediately remove all work containing small objects, including pearl-sized beads and bells measuring less than one inch in diameter, from Toddler access. Staff will continue to regularly assess classroom materials to ensure they are developmentally appropriate, are aligned with our Montessori pedagogy, and meet safety requirements while supporting the needs of the classroom.
