Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was conducted from 1:00pm to 2:10pm. There were 28 children present in care of 5 staff. Naptime was observed in the center, and infants were observed getting fed and waking up from nap. 2 staff records, 3 children's records, emergency drill log, injury reports, attendance and medications were reviewed. Based on records review and staff interview, there was not at least one staff member in each classroom that met the qualifications of a program lead.
Evidence:
1. Staff # 1 stated that Staff # 2 was the program lead for the Two's classroom.
2. Staff # 2 did not meet any of the required qualifications of a program lead as listed in 8VAC20-780-210.
Plan of Correction: Staff # 2 will complete trainings to meet the qualification requirements. A lead qualified will be assisting in this classroom until training is completed.
