Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was conducted on 8/26/25 from 11:00 am to 12:25pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 24 children present and 6 staff. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 3 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.
1. The rubber tiles on the playground have shifted due to use over time. The movement of has created large gaps between some tiles and edges of some to overlap, creating a potential injury and trip hazard for children.
2. 4 ceiling tiles in the 3's classroom above the changing table were stained, exhibiting signs of water damage.
Plan of Correction: A work order has been put in place for the tiles. In the meantime, children will be closely supervised to ensure that they do not trip or fall. The ceiling tiles will be looked into.
