Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 11:50 am-12:40 pm. There were 7 children directly supervised by 2 staff. The home, staff records, children?s records, 2household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications authorizations on site today. Children were observed playing freely, preparing for nap and eating lunch. Diapering and handwashing procedures were also observed. There was an ample supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on observation, medication was not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence:

Child medication was observed in the individual boxes labeled for child belongings on the kitchen counter.

Household member medication located unlocked on kitchen counter.
Plan of Correction: We moved all medication during the inspection. We will give child's medication back to parent.
