Inspector Notes

An unannounced Renewal inspection was conducted today. A total of 8 children (25pts) with 2 staff were present during the inspection. At the beginning of the inspection, the children had just finished breakfast and were sitting on the floor in portable high chairs watching a video program. The younger children were napping in another room equipped with cribs. The children transitioned to morning activities such as free play, puzzles, magnets and playing kitchen together. Toileting and diapering procedures were observed. Observation of the crib and cot room, the outside play area, kitchen area and main program room was made. Handwashing occurred before morning snack. The snack consisted of gold fish and animal crackers with milk. Cheerios were offered to the younger children. No medication needs at this time and no identified food allergies. A total of 6 children's records and all household and staff records were reviewed. The previous violations from the March inspection were reviewed and corrections were verified. This inspection occurred between the hours of 9:30am and 11:25am. Please email me at: lisa.hudson@doe.virginia.gov with any questions. Thank you for your cooperation today.
