Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on November 26, 2024. The on-site inspection began at 9:40am and ended at 1:30pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 79 children present and 11 staff. The inspector reviewed eight children?s records and eight staff records on-site.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Hazardous substances must be in a locked place that prevents access by children. In a two-year-old classroom, containers of cleaning chemicals were in an unlocked cabinet, out of reach of children.
Plan of Correction: This violation was corrected during the inspection.
Standard 8VAC20-780-60-A
Each center shall maintain and keep at the center a separate record for each child enrolled that contains all of the required information. The record for Child #3, enrolled for four months, was missing the following required components: Name, address, and phone number of two designated people to call in an emergency if a parent cannot be reached.
