Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 5/6/2021 and concluded on 5/12/2021. The program owner was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 15 children present with 4 staff. The inspector emailed the program owner a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 4 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.

The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or laws and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

The licensing inspector has reviewed with the Provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Based on record review and interview, the center does not have a qualified program director or back-up director who meets the director qualifications.
Evidence: The program owner stated that Staff #2 is the program director. Staff #2 does not meet the director qualifications. Staff #2 does not have an education background or any experience in a supervisory role.
