Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated completed on 9/25/24. The on-site inspection began at 1:35 pm and ended at 3:08 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 0 children present and one caregiver. The inspector reviewed (#)five children?s records and two staff records on-site. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-800-140-B-3
Providers shall have current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), as appropriate to the age of the children in care, from the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American Safety and Health Institute, or the National Safety Council, or current CPR certification issued within the past two years by a community college, a hospital, a rescue squad, or a fire department.

Staff #1 & 2 have a CPR certification that was obtained online and is not one of the trainers listed above.
Plan of Correction: The provider was unable to find any first aid and CPR trainings being offered locally. Trainings will be sought after and contacts will be made with resources available.
