Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today between the hours of approximately 9:50 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. There were 4 children present, between the ages of 1 year and 4 years, with the Provider for a total of 10 points within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed engaging in free play and playing with puzzles, magnets, dolls. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, fire drill log, menu, attendance and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation, potentially poisonous substances were not stored away in areas inaccessible to children.

Evidence: Laundry detergent was located on the floor of a closet accessible to children. The closet had child locks on the door knobs that did not work.
Plan of Correction: Laundry detergent was removed by the provider during the inspection. Provider will purchase a different type of child lock for the closets.
