Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on 10/20/2025 and completed on 10/20/2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 9:22AM and ended at 11:12AM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 27 children present and 5 staff. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records on site on 10/20/2025 and 1 staff record on-site on 10/20/2025.
This inspection included - document review, tour of the facility, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-260-B
Annual approval from the health department shall be provided. The most recent annual health inspection was overdue by 4 months.
Plan of Correction: Provider scheduled annual health inspection.
Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
The center shall ensure that areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, are maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition. There was a pairing knife located on top of a toaster oven in the school age classroom that was accessible to children.
Plan of Correction: Provider will ensure sharp objects are not accessible to children.
Standard 8VAC20-780-280-B
Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. A bottle of dish detergent with a warning label, ?Keep out of reach of children,? was unlocked on a counter in the school age classroom, accessible to children.
Plan of Correction: Provider will ensure all chemicals are locked.
