Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was conducted on August 23, 2024 as part of the provisional licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 2:00 p.m. and ended at 4:20 p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 46 children present and 6 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 3 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a
clean, safe and operable condition. The light in the twos bathroom was not working.
Plan of Correction: The light will be fixed as soon as possible.
Standard 8VAC20-780-510-P
Repeat violation. When an authorization for medication expires, the parent shall be notified that the medication needs to be picked up within 14 days or the parent must renew the authorization. The medication authorization for one child expired 7/12/2024 and the medication was not returned or discarded.
Plan of Correction: A new authorization has been requested. The medication will be sent home if not received.
