Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 03/12/2021 and concluded on 03/24/2021. Staff administration was contacted by email to initiate the inspection. There were have been no children in care since March 2020 due to the COVID pandemic. The program will operate a Spring Break camp as well as summer camp in June. Reviewed the new Director's record and one staff, trainings and emergency preparation. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Based on staff statement, the resilient surfacing under playground equipment does not meet the minimum safety standards.
Evidence:
Program administration stated that the mulch under playground equipment is less than 6 inches as required under fall zones.
Plan of Correction: Mulch was delivered and spread on 3/25/2021.
